Sakura Nexus has reported approximately 14,000 registered users during its first 50 days of operation. The web3 gaming platform, focused on poker and table games, is presenting its early traction through retention, playtime and revenue metrics rather than token-driven acquisition.
Chief executive Allen Chow said the platform recorded a 38% day-one retention rate and 26% day-seven retention rate. Average daily playtime reached about 165 minutes, while average revenue per paying user exceeded $80.

Gameplay Metrics Take Priority Over Token Incentives
The early data points to a gameplay-first retention strategy. Sakura Nexus said more than 90% of its user base comes from traditional web2 players, with nearly all onboarding attributed to word-of-mouth channels.
The company also said it spent nothing on paid advertising during the initial period. That makes user retention and engagement more important indicators than raw sign-up growth, because the platform is trying to prove product-market fit without subsidized acquisition.
This approach marks a shift away from earlier play-to-earn models that relied heavily on token emissions to keep wallets active. Sakura Nexus is positioning token mechanics as a secondary layer rather than the main reason users return.
zCloak Partnership Adds Identity and Privacy Layer
Sakura Nexus is also building privacy-focused identity infrastructure through a partnership with zCloak Network. The integration is designed to support payments, airdrops and know-your-account verification without routing sensitive user data through centralized custodial intermediaries.
That matters because web3 gaming platforms still need compliance and user-protection controls. Privacy-preserving verification can help manage onboarding while giving players more control over identity data and transaction history.
The roadmap includes a native mobile app, live streaming features and links between digital gameplay and physical poker rooms. The team’s near-term engineering focus remains on stabilizing core gameplay and scaling infrastructure before expanding deeper into tokenized economies.
The reported metrics remain self-disclosed by Sakura Nexus leadership. The next useful indicators will be third-party analytics, mobile adoption, zCloak integration performance, on-chain activity and whether retention holds as the platform scales beyond its first cohort.
